Week Four- Finally Feel Like A Ballet Dancer

Monday, Feb. 3rd (Carley): Equal Rotation, Equal Rotation, Equal Rotation!!! I am fighting for supportive and rotated standing leg when working with things like a pirouette and such. It’s ok to have dynamic timing during an adagio, it all doesn’t have to be slow and even. An adagio is meant to be sustained, some movements have a natural ebb and flow… don’t fight it!

Wednesday, Feb. 5th (Carley): Unnecessary amounts of port de bras so my arms get accustomed to being active. It is helping a bit. I’ll continue on with this.

Thursday, Feb. 6th (Karen): Active arms and a freed neck! YES! Get it J! More freedom in my back helps with balance and I’m going to try aiming for a specific metatarsal for balances. Today, I felt like a ballet dancer!

We also had a quiz today and I feel pretty good about my performance of it. I can’t wait for the results and notes from Karen about it.
